Hey, so it's been a while. I can't believe school is back already . I'm in the middle of my last precious week of summer vaca, and it seems like I just got out of school. Time moves so quickly. Here are some highlights of the Spring/Summer:
My sisters ( Britt, Beth) graduated from high school!
I turned 17!!! Seventeen rocks, it's been very good to me so far, lol.
Camp Barakel High School Week was just as awesome as ever!
My little bro had his 13th birthday, it's so wierd to think of him as a "teenager!"
And of course their were plenty of sleepovers with late night/early morning movie watching to top it all off.
Well that's all for now, hopefully I'll be back on Xanga before another season goes by, lol!!!

| Hello All, it's been quite a while hasn't it? Well I'm not even gonna to try an recap the events of the past 4 months but will stick to the present. I was on spring break this past week, yaaaaaahhh for me!!!! And I got a much needed break from a thoroughly exhausting semester. a friend of mine's parents( I know, what a mouth full) went on an awesome Anniversary trip to New York, so my friend and one of her little brothers stayed with my family for a bit. We ( friends, my sisters, me) had a movie fest with plenty of late nights to boot. We watched Hitch, which was totally hilarious and Inside Man( ingenious plot but bad language/ suggestive content) which I liked even though it had its faults. We watched some other movies too, but I won't bore you with them here, lol!
I also went ballroom dancing over break. That was loads of fun!!! There were older people who knew the dances, and taught the younger people( myself and friends). There was also live music that we danced to, somewhat like the music from Pride and Prejudice. I really enjoyed myself and hope to do it again sometime. Well that's all for now, Cherrio!

| Hey people, what's up?! I apologize for how long it's been since I last posted, I've just been really busy. Over Christmas break I had a blast!!! I went to this rockin' end of the year party at my friends house, I went to watch Pride and Prejudice again with some other friends of mine ( I enjoyed the movie just as much as I did the first time), and I had the most divine meal ever( before I watched P&P) at the Macaroni Grill, It was truly delicious! I went to this awesome movie fest/sleepover at one of my other friends' house, which was tons of fun. To round out some the highlights of break I also got to watch Dear Frankie with my sisters and the Watermans, we've been chasing down that movie for a loooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnngggg time ( None of the video stores carry more than one copy)! Dear Frankie was a good movie and did not disappoint. I can't believe Michigan lost to Nebraska in their Bowl Game! That was terribly disappointing . I really wanted them to win that game considering their season wasn't so good. Oh well, theres always next season. Anyhoo, school has started back and I'm in the thick of it once again. I think I'm gonna change my program from Technical Writing to Medical Assistant. I tried some of the Tech Writing classes this semester, and most of them are pretty boring. I'm thinking about going into the medical field, so something more medically related will probably serve me better anyway. Well let me know how you've been, and what's been going on with you, I obviously haven't been on Xanga in a while so update me. Well, I gotta go. Toodles, Rachel

| Woooohhhhooo!!!!!!!! Christmas break is finally here! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I've truly been very busy these last days of school( I told you about my projects in my last post, I won't make you read it again ). How are finals shaping up for everybody? Are you almost/already finished? I hope everything's going well. Well Bethany tagged me, and the way I understand it I'm suppossed to post 5 things that..... well aren't so good about me. Here they are:
1. I can be a perfectionist sometimes, that can be both good and I guess.
2. Sometimes I'll doze off in the middle of prayer when I'm in bed! ( that one's pretty bad ).
3. I cram for tests sometimes.
4. I bite my fingernails ( I'm afraid so, I've been pretty close to breaking the habit a couple of times, but haven't succeeded as of yet )
5. I don't workout every morning like I should.
Well, that's it .... that wasn't too terribly embarrassing..... I'm not letting the rest of you off the hook so easily! I'm tagging Kay, Ken, Danielle, Chris , and Alyssa( by the way you can't tag me back)! Everybody, enjoy their break, the falling snow, family and friends, and of course Jesus Christ! Is anybody doing anything special for Christmas? Toodles, Rachel

| Hey people what's up? Unfortunately, this will have to be
somewhat of a brief post, because I have a lot of homework to do .
I have sooooo many assignments to finish before the end of
the semester! I have a paper to finish, a test and a final
in chemistry ( yay), a couple of chemistry labs to do, a math test, and
2 timed writings left in typing class( it's frustrating because you
have to have 3 or fewer errors in a 3 min timing without using the
backspace key) all to do by the end of next week! So needless to say
I'm swamped ( as I've heard many of you are). Please, pray for
me. I must get in a little fun, right? So I'll be watching Alias
( one of my favorite shows) tonight, and hopefully I'll have a little
free time during the week to take a breather.
Anyhoo, I watched Emma last night which was positively
wonderful, as well as a Charlie Brown Christmas ( it's a family
tradition). I couldn't help but feel sorry for poor Charlie, all his
friends ( besides Linus, of course) are so cruel ( it is unfortunely
part of what makes it so funny lol!). Some of the funniest/cruel
lines from the movie are: "We wanted you to pick a good tree!
Can't you tell a good from a poor tree! Charlie Brown's not the type
that you can count on to do anything right. Your completely
hopeless Charlie Brown, completely hopeless." Then towards the
end of the movie when the Peanuts' Gang has a change of heart, and
likes Charlie's tree, Lucy says: "Charlie Bown is a block head, but he
did pick a nice tree." And of course the Christmas story by
Linus( which is actually pretty accurate Biblically) makes
the movie complete. Lol, Charlie Brown never gets old and is
still as funny and charming as ever. I guess this post wasn't so short after all. Gtg. Much love, Rach
